Hi

I will be applying for my DTV through the London Embassy shortly, in regards to the flight booking I read it can be proof of flight or accommodation, has anyone just proved accommodation at all? 

Or if not how can I get around it without physically booking a flight, as I don’t really want to have to book one for me and my family and then pay the change of date fees.

Book a flexible flight. You can refund up until day of departure usually.

That way you are providing what’s requested without them having to come back and ask for it as an additional document. X

I’m using a visa agency with my application which will be via London and they said I need a confirmed flight and to get a fully refundable one as I’m having the same issue.

mind me asking how much the agency is charging and do they apply for you again for free if you face issues? (Ie any guarantee?)

so 18k in total as 13k is visa/g’ment fee to apply. Sorry. For some reason my full reply was rejected on here 🤷‍♀️

Hi. They are charging 5000 baht and yes they apply again waivering their fee.

I just applied at London embassy this week and received my visa within 2 days. Was asked for additional docs after one day including a flight to Thailand. No mention of accommodation.

You can book a fully refundable flight and then cancel it when you get your visa approved.

ah ok. So I’ve supplied bank statements showing my regular income from my freelance work also as I’m applying as digital nomad which is legit as I’ve been freelance for many years. Hoping that will be ok although my income is not high it’s more than enough to support myself in Thailand…so fingers crossed. I’m really hoping it comes through approved quickly so I can get back here (here at mo and going to uk in couple of weeks to apply as I’ve been here almost 6 months already on visa free and extensions).

Hi. Can I ask, did you have the 500,000 baht in an account for 3

Months? This is my sticking point as my funds will have only been in my account 2 months when I apply and Ive heard some say they had no issues with the funds being in their for account less time when applying from London but I’m 🥴

only 10 days needed for London but they still want to see 3 months of statements. They also wanted further evidence of how I would be supporting myself so I sent statements from savings accounts etc

(I had the 500k in my current account for the last 2 weeks)
