TLDR : Answer Summary
A user compares flight prices between Thai Airways and Emirates for a trip to Athens in late July, noting Thai Airways is priced significantly lower in economy class while Emirates offers business class for a slightly higher fare. Comments reveal concerns over Thai Airways' pricing strategies and financial struggles, hinting at industry-wide effects from social distancing measures. Additionally, there are doubts about the availability of scheduled flights due to the uncertain travel environment.
Will be lucky if there are any scheduled flights to Athens by end July irrespective of price. Websites may offer prices but there is no guarantee planes will be flying. Very much a buyer beware situation until all the various authorities come to an agreement.
Just there algorithims in play. Supply and demand. I actually got a flight three years ago on TAP local in Portugal and buisness was cheaper than economy 555
They are going to enforce social distancing on Aircraft. This effects load capacity and price unfortunately or the airlines simple couldn't make money. Not that Thai airways has made any money in the last few years. It will apply to all airlines for the time being
