Hello everyone, 

I am puzzled, so I would be grateful if anyone can help. 

I am a Czech citizen, but I work in Germany. I plan to apply for DTV of course, but I am currently in Vietnam, then I go to Bali and then we would like to stay in Thailand.

At which embassy in this case should I apply? Does it matter which country you are arriving in Thailand from (For example I would be coming from Bali) or does it have to be Vietnam, if I am in Vietnam now?

Or alternatively, should I just apply at the German embassy?

It doesn’t matter which country you to come to Thailand from. There are many success stories from Vietnam.

However, it’s recommended that you stay in the country you apply for until you get a decision on your application.

You can only apply using the consulate of the country you are currently in and you need to remain in that country until the process completes
