Do I need to be physically present at the embassy when applying for the DTV visa in Thailand?

I am planning to apply for the DTV visa early next year.
On the Thai e-visa website, it asked me which embassy I wish to apply to.
Does it mean that I have to be in person near this embassy?

In the same country as the Embassy you apply from. They will want copies of ALL pages of your passport to make sure you are in that country
