I‘m currently in South America and want to apply for the DTV (workation). As I need to fly from here to Asia anyway I would plan a stop somewhere to apply from there. In which country/city is it currently the easiest or most promising to get approved?

Everywhere but the neighboring countries to Thailand, where all the wannabee longtime tourist go apply.

so apply before you leave South America and save money on extra flights and stays in a country you don't want to stay in.

Actually you ask where can you apply without meeting all the requirements and still get the visa issued?

There is no Embassy in South America and it gets cold, the applicants of DTV sounds more and more crazy every day.

Robert Lagas nope, i don’t ask to where to game the system but which embassy are recommended for now for a smooth process!

I meet all needed criteria and also know that the process is online and should be done everywhere same - but as we all know some embassy’s are more strict or ask for additional stuff or it just takes way longer and other are more smooth and straight forward - provided that all criteria are met!

IF you look for an Embassy that does not ask questions, that does is less strict (meaning do not care) you want to play games.

IF you are a genuine applicant and have all the documents in place, it should not matter.

it’s complicated, here is no Thai embassy and the weather gets colder so I plan anyway to fly over there so it is not a problem to make a stopover somewhere where the application process is straight forward.

Participante anónimo all countries are covered by a Thai embassy, even if it's physically located in another country, but the process is done 100% online anyway.
