Hello. I’m going to try my luck tomorrow with my daughter’s visa (from non o to COVID extension). We got a letter from the embassy.

Where should we go - Muangthong or Cheangwattana ? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on whether to go to Muangthong or Cheangwattana for their daughter's visa extension from Non-O to a COVID extension. Comments indicate that Non-Immigrant visa extensions are processed at Chaengwattana, and they received a 30-day extension based on an embassy letter. The process was confirmed to be smooth, but there were long waiting times. It's noted that the original embassy letter is required, and a follow-up visit for the finalization of the extension is necessary.

yes, thank you. The IO said that as well. And I asked if I can extend for 1 month, she said yes as long as I have a letter from the embassy.

Update: the process was smooth, no questions asked. But the place was packed - we started 8:16 and finished at 3:12.

I guess if you have the letter from the embassy, they might consider extending you.

Wow...great job! Out of curiosity, what did your embassy letter say that helped you get this extension?

@MarGuyvin **
it mentions about a certain criteria/order from immigration bureau-I’m guessing it’s an agreement of some sort between the two countries

Filipino, our embassy has been giving letters to those who need. Hopefully we’ll be able to extend tomorrow.

we are watching for reports of any...but few if any.

Non-Immigrant visa extensions are processed at Chaengwattana.

keep in mind you will get a 30 day 'embassy request' extension NOT a 60 day covid extension.

@Tod ********
is this the same letter in the early days when we had to get a letter from the embassy to show we couldn't safely leave?
Tod *********
@Sean ******
similar I guess, it's the same extension the 30 day based on embassy request under clause 2.28 in the rules
