Hello guys.

Apologies in advance if this question has been asked before.

I'm planning to apply for my Non Immigrant type B work visa in Vietnam in early September.

Can I know which place is faster in processing visa? Hanoi Thai Consulate or Ho Chin Minh? How long is visa processing?

Upon re-entry to Thailand, What are the requirements?

Thank you so much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the fastest place to process a Non Immigrant type B work visa between the Thai Consulates in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the requirements for re-entering Thailand. A comment advises that basic requirements for the work visa include having a job or job offer, along with necessary documentation from the employer.

The basic requirement is that you already have a job, or job offer, and documents on the company's letterhead stating the offer, and some documents verifying that they are a legitimate business able to hire you, and meet the requirements for your needed work permit. You can't just apply for a type B visa with no verified job offer.

ok you're right. The job offer letter and relevant docs are still in process tho. I'm an Intl student here in Thailand just graduated and wish to obtain work permit in Vn Thai Consulate.

I'm just confused if I need to provide proof of show money at Thai immigration ( similar to Tourist Visas) once I enter the kingdom with work permit.

be fully aware that you can't just get a work permit, and leaving and entering Thailand has nothing to do with a work permit. You need a job first, not a job offer, to get a work permit. You also can not get a work permit outside of Thailand. The Vn Thai consulate can not issue work permits. You can only get one after you officially have a job, and are physically in Thailand. No exceptions

ok ok I got it. Just checked the Vn Ho Chi Minh's Thai Consulate website and they said applicants who have residence in Vn can apply, if not the others must apply in their home countries.

I'm confused at this because some has told me foreign nationalities not having residency in Vn can still apply. Having a hard time to choose a country to apply for Non Immigrant Type B visa with all required documents.

Is it possible for me to apply there? It's not safe for me to return to my country right now to apply for that visa and the process is too lengthy requiring additional unnecessary documents.
