My thinking. Fly from Udon. Hotel. Go consulate next morning. fly back. Prepared to stay one more night. Comments?

From Pattaya the fastest (and easiest) way to Vientiane is to fly from U-Tapao to Udon Thani, then take the mini van at the airport to the Nong Khai border, cross and high tail it to the consulate. You can get there before they stop accepting applications

Possibly stating where you are IN thailand could help people recommend a thai consulate that's close to you.

Would Cambodia be an option?

OK. I understand the Ministry of Ed will make an agreed booking for me to visit having visited said Ministry for verification purposes.

, the thai consulate in Vientiane is the easiest one to get to, the most user friendly BUT by far the busiest.

You don't need an agent if you have all the documentation from your employer.

Thanks. Laos preferred as I am in Pattaya. I now have a non imm O and I know I have to leave the country and I am aware of documents. I want tips on procedure. Agent in Laos, fly, land or what?

You don't necessarily have to leave the country and go to a thai consulate to get a 90 day Non-B.

If you are on a tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt entry and you have 15 days or more left on your current stamp you can have your company give you documentation to go to the immigration office and apply for a 90 day Non-B visa .
