If having the insurance is a part of him being able to come back in then we are willing to pay for that regardless if it’s usless ... You can try thai vivat, they are inexpensive and are one of the lesser advertised companies. They are pretty straight forward and you can generate a quote online. The payment can be transferred they their payment gateway and the policy is mailed promptly to your home address. You must check for covid cover though.

This is not the same kind of general health insurance coverage required for Non Imm O-A Visas.

It is called Covid-19 Insurance Coverage. An Insurance policy could have a face coverage value of 100,000 USD but the small print excludes epidemics or even exclude Covid-19 Disease
