Hi folks. When should the 90-day report be done if one moved from visa amnesty to an initial Non-Imm 'O' visa based on kids in September, and subsequently applied for the 12-month extension last week, and is presently "under consideration" ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 90-day report is typically due after you receive your extension; the immigration office usually provides a piece of paper indicating the due date upon completion of your extension processing. It's advisable to check your passport for this document when you receive it back and ask if it's not clear.

when you go back to the immigration office and get your extension inked in they will usually give you a piece of paper that says when your first 90 day report is due.

take a minute when you get your extension inked in and get your passport back to look thru it for that paper and if it's not there ask them when your 90 day report is due

Looks like this

I actually got the Notice paper with the 90 days report day already filled out before I got the final concideration stamp as I already got it on the day the consideration started. So my first 90 days reporting day will be 3 month after the consideration started. So 2 month after I got the final stamp 🤠

on the off chance they don't give you that paper; your 90 day report should be due 89 days after the date you applied for the yearly extension (the date they gave you the under consideration stamp) because that's what starts the 90 day count down clock the FIRST time you get an extension.

I'd still ask them when you go back to get the extension inked in just to be sure..

Good luck with it (y)
