Went to Chaengwatana and got my extension to stay based on marriage 16th Jan until 15th April. My question - they told me to come back in a couple of months - what date can/should I go back to Chaengwatana for my 12 month extension application and what's the latest date I can go before I've missed the window?

...And it's BEST to ask your Thai immigration office for their list of requirements for the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai

When you apply, take your Thai wife with you to the Thai Immigration office.

And you will need to have a Thai bank account in your name only with 400,000 Thai baht deposited into it a full two months before you apply for the one year extension of stay.

At Chaengwattana, the application window for a 1-year extension is from 45 days before until the due date. You already can apply for your 1-year extension anytime now and the last day you can apply for it is 15th of April.
