Hello, our current stamp expires on Aug 4th that's unfortunately a Sunday so we will need to go on August 2nd to the immigration which is a Friday .

Do we then get a 30 day stamp which counts from August 2nd or from August 4th where our current stamp expires ?

Thanks in advance, appreciate it ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
The new 30-day stamp will start from the expiration date of your current stamp, August 4th, even if you apply for the extension on August 2nd. Multiple comments confirm that early applications do not affect the start date of the new stamp.

It's supposed to be an extension from your last extension's end date. But check and make sure they stamp the right dates before you leave.

It's added, so it doesn't matter on what exact date you go.

30 day extensions are ADDED to the expiration date of your current stamp GO this week, there's no down side to going early
