For example: If I have a 90 day Non- O ( retirement) and the stamp for this visa gives an admittance date, does the 90 day report window open up from this admittance date or indeed the day I actually arrived in the country and was stamped in visa exempt?

Ok, you haven't been in country on one visa type long enough to do a 90 day report, (visa exempt to a 90 day Non-O doesn't count as 90 days on ONE visa type so don't worry about it)
It sounds like you're in the process of getting the one year extension based on retirement< you said you entered visa exempt, now you have a 90 day Non-O visa, the next step is the get a year extension
AND
it's only once you get the year extension that you get a small paper in your passport telling you when to BEGIN to do 90 day reporting..

Thank you Tod, I think that about clears my question up. I am indeed just about to apply for the 1 year extension of the Non- O, but it occured to me that I had actually entered the country before the original 90 day visa, being g stamped in visa exempt. So know I know that the window for reporting will only open up when I receive the 1 year extension.Tod *********

(y) yep, you're part way thru the process right now, when you do get that year extension you'll get that little paper stapled into your passport telling you when your first 90 day report is due. No harm at all in asking, better to be too careful 🙂 good luck with the process, you're almost there (y)

Did your Thai Immigration office staple/place a reminder slip into your passport when you obtained your recent approval for the Non O Visa as retiree and the One year extension of stay as retired?

I didnt get a slip James. It seems that the 90 days starts when I get the Extension of the Non - O and not before.Derek *******
