Hi everyone and having seen your replies to other posts I’m sure you guys are helping a lot of people confused by the visa system and processes ... thank you in advance and keep up the good work ... my question is about the validity of my visa ... I entered Thailand on a retirement visa on the 18 of July 2019 and they stamped my passport allowed to stay till 16 July 2020 ... I left the country for Christmas and returned on the 29 December 2019 when they stamped my passport allowed to stay till 27 December 2020 ... when does my Non IMM AO visa (which I entered on first time) need to be renewed...?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user's Non-Immigrant O-A visa was issued upon entry on July 18, 2019, allowing a stay until July 16, 2020. After leaving and returning to Thailand on December 29, 2019, they received a new stamp permitting a stay until December 27, 2020. The question focuses on when this visa must be renewed, considering potential options for extension and travel limitations.

The visa is valid until 26 Jun 2020, to get another year of stay you have to leave and come back before that date but with closed borders to get into Thailand, that is no option.

You are admitted to stay until 27 Dec 2020. Before 25 October 2020 you should think of your next step, or a new from your home country or an Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age.

You need a new visa to come back into the country Or use a re-entry permit to get the same date of 27 Dec 2020 and apply for the Extension of Stay after return.

If you like to use banked money it must be in the bank mid October and you can apply from end November.

if you like to apply for a 1 year Extension of Stay it can be done 45 or 30 days before until 27 Dec 2020 at your local Immigration Office but one of the requirements is that you need OR 800.000 Thb 2 months prior application date in a Thai Bank or a monthly income of 65,000 Thb. 2 months prior 27 Dec is 27 Oct and that is the date the money must be in the bank if you like to use the banked money option
