I'm seeking some up to date advice on Phuket immigration office's "current" requirements on renewing a one year extension of stay based on retirement. As this is my first renewal I am not completely sure what may be required. My current extension of stay expires on 8 September.
I am an Australian citizen and the original visa issued in Melbourne Australia was a non O ED...
I know I will need a statutory declaration for income from the consulate, but what else???
Advise by anyone who has just completed will be much appreciated...

Sorry I was nit-picky about the terminology but I didn't want to give you bad advice :/
Remember in Phuket you can go 45 days before your current extension expires and there is no down side to going early, you don't lose any days because they add your new year extension to the expiration date you have now.
Good Luck, report back and let us know how it goes if you can. (y)
I talked to the "great Thai helper" there two weeks ago and he said to come last week August. so had been following that time frame. But he said that without seeing anything so guess I'll get everything together now and go next week...
I'd follow the check list that Ray Derrick posted as it spells out all the copies you need. Just disregard the bank book and bank letter copies and go with the embassy certificate instead. That list looks pretty complete and IS Phuket specific.
Okay, while you DID originally come in on an ED visa and changed passports too it looks like ;), you subsequently got a year extension based on retirement from Chonburi (hence the stamp RETIREMENT :) next to the year extension) So that means you're NOT on ANY visa, you're on a yearly extension of stay based on being over 50 (retirement) and it expires on the 8th of Sept.
You're just going to apply for a brand new yearly extension of stay, and you mentioned you're using the stat-dec notary letter from your consulate stating you get at least 65K baht a month in income.
And you've already moved to Phuket, went to the immigration office filed a change of address form and filed the TM.30 (foreigner in residence) form with them within 24 hours of you moving there right??
First off you never ever renew an extension of stay OR a visa, they expire when they expire and you get a new extension every year or buy a new visa.
I imagine you're no longer under the original visa you came into the country on and are on an extension of stay that you got from the immigration office with documentation from your school for 1900baht. When does your current extension expire?
I provided no documentation other than my passport, an income statutory declaration, and a completed form when I received the current extension of stay via a "visa agent" from the chonburi office.
There was no school involved as my ED visa was granted for the purposes of obtaining scuba diving certifications.
Here's a starter....done in Phuket in last 6 months. Using combination of annual income + money in bank to total 800,000 baht for 2 months (1st extention) 3 months thereafter. Had copy of my rental agreement and copy of my Landlord's ID card. They also took a digital photo of me. Once they have accepted all your paperwork, you will pay 1900baht and get a receipt. You take the receipt back next day after 1pm and collect your passport.
