I have been in Thailand for 2.5 years. 1st on tourist visa with extension, then 1 year on Education Visa in Chiang Mai. Now on volunteer visa, (which I believe they've been cracking down on), which expires on the 17th of August.
Just wondering what my options are? as I would like to stay longer.
I will have to return to Australia for 1 month in November.
1.Get covid extension until then?
2.Go to neighbouring country & come back in on tourist visa & get extension on that? I think can get up to 6 months on tourist visa.
3.Other options?
Any feedback would be much appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking options to extend their stay in Thailand after their volunteer visa expires on August 17th. They have previously used a tourist visa and an education visa. Possible solutions discussed include applying for a Covid extension, leaving for a neighboring country to obtain a new tourist visa, or considering a Non-Immigrant B visa for a longer extension.
There is no crack down on Volunteer visa, unless you bought the visa in a place you never visited and work for an organization you never heard of.
The Extension of Stay based on unable to travel is maximum 60 days and application ends on 25 July, unless the program gets extended it will not get you into November.
You can visit a neighbor country and apply there for a Single Entry Tourist visa which gives you 60 days and can be extended once with 30 days, this could be enough time before you leave the country.
Get the Non Immigrant B visa and get a 1 year Extension of Stay is an other option.
