What are my options for extending my stay in Thailand on a tourist visa while being a digital nomad?

Hi, I am in Koh Tao right now on a normal 60 days tourist visa. I need to stay longer, and dont know what is the best way.

* I could get a company share for 20000 thb and get a work visa which comes with taxes etc. But can stay a very long time

* Can I change my visa to a Volunteer Visa while INSIDE thailand?

* can I extend my tourist visa (already extended once for 30 days) with the two months "covid visa"

* can I apply to the STV when INSIDE thailand?

I am actually a digital nomad, but not working in thailand, as I only keep working on my existing online shop. Also the smart visa would make no sense as I would pay taxes twice, in germany AND thailand.

What would you recommend in this case?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, currently on a 60-day tourist visa in Koh Tao, is exploring options to extend their stay. They are considering obtaining a work visa through a company share, switching to a volunteer visa while in Thailand, extending their tourist visa with a COVID-19 extension, or applying for the STV without leaving the country. A comment suggests that the STV cannot be applied for while in Thailand but mentions that a COVID extension is still an option until late November 2021.

Cannot apply STV in country,

You can get the 60 day covid extension until end of november 26th or 27th cannot remember exactly.

I would keep it quiet and not announce on social media that you are working as digital nomad.
