Hi everyone. 

So thai immigration has updated news on the STV visa.After July 3rd when you start your STV you are not allowed to apply for an extention to stay in thailand because the STV's end 1st October. My question is what other options are there to stay longer from 1st October.I hear a volunteer  visa is favourable.

Yea I've looked into it more and the best option is to get a tourist entry visa 60days then extend it for another 30.Then by that time hopefully do a border land crossing to lao and then back to Thailand.i know it could change.

If you're on STV then there are no options as you can't switch to another visa in country.

Just a normal tourist visa is the best option to get into Thailand. There's lots of flexibility to get off it.

Six months away. No-one knows at this point what will be happening

It was my plan b but my schedule permitted and worked out to be better with the STV.
