Wondering what is the current situation for entering Thailand. I am a British national currently in Taiwan. I would be looking at up to 6 month stay. Is there a visa I could apply for that would allow me to enter Chaing mai or bangkok for quarantine?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The current situation for entering Thailand as a British national from Taiwan allows for entry with a visa exemption if all requirements are met. For a stay of up to 6 months, you can initially enter on a visa exemption and can later extend your stay for an additional month for a fee, followed by potential COVID-19 extensions of 60 days at a time. It's recommended to have quarantine arrangements, travel insurance, and obtain a Certificate of Entry (COE) before traveling.

have an excellent team who can walk you through Visa options and things.

Its very easy to enter in Bangkok though, just need to book quarantine, insurance and get a COE first :)

Just come on a visa exempt. If you got all the requirements you will be fine. Once your visa is completed you can extend one month first for 1900 baht then after you can always get the covid extensions which are 60 days at a time.

there was no guarantee it would last over a year...

and to rely on them continuing is not wise. Have a Plan B

Brahim Chab. There's no guarantee the covid extensions will continue past September 27.
