Hello : ) thanks for this super informative page. We (an Irish and a British national) are planning to come from our place of residence in Germany to visit family living in Thailand from December until March 2023 (90 days). During this period, we are also planning to visit Vietnam / Cambodia and/or Laos for around 2 weeks. What would the best visa option be? Get the 90 day SVT, if it is still possible? ( or is this only single entry?) OR enter Visa exempt for 45 days, travel to Vietnam / Cambodia / Laos then after reenter visa free to Thailand? Is it a risk to do it that way? Thank you very much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Irish and a British national planning to visit Thailand from December to March for 90 days has several options. The STV visa is no longer available since it ended on September 30, 2022. Instead, they can enter Thailand visa-exempt for 45 days, and then apply for a 30-day extension at a local immigration office, totaling 75 days. After this, they can do a border bounce to re-enter Thailand for another 45 days. This method is considered safe for their travel plans.

The STV visa is no longer available. It ENDED September 30, 2022.

As you plan on coming to THAILAND for 90 days,

Simply arrive into Thailand Visa exempt... gets you 45 days stamp on arrival plus 30 days added extension of stay at your local Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht. = 75 days.

Then do a simple Border Bounce and you will get Another 45 days stamp on arrival into Thailand.
