Hey guys. I have a messy situation like many at the moment. I planed to marry Phrae in November, having already booked the venue and planner. We traveled to New Zealand in March for a vacation and got stuck here. We decided to officially marry here in NZ due to the inability for family and friends to now travel to the originally planned wedding. After we married I spoke to the embassy in NZ and they said I was eligible for a repat flight due to being married. Theybsaid wait for a repat flight, apply to be on it, apply for CoE and they would then issue a Visa. The problem now is that they have changed their sequence of events, but that's seperate from the topic here. My question is, my last visa (ED) expired while we were in NZ, I have transferred 400k into my account in Thailand, and have more than that in my savings in NZ. I have been offered a job in Thailand teaching online (outside of the country). What Visa do I need to ask the embassy for? I was told by an agent in Thailand that once I had a spouse visa I could apply for a work permit with now issues. Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on obtaining a visa to return to Thailand after marrying a Thai national while stuck in New Zealand. They inquire about the appropriate visa type, given their circumstances, particularly considering their expired education visa and a new job offer for online teaching. Comments suggest that the user can apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage to a Thai national or a Non-Immigrant B visa for employment, both of which can lead to a work permit.
