Ok, I'm asking for advice here and I hope its allowed on this site.

Basically I lived in Chiang Mai for 6 years with my family, consisting of my now ex husband.. he has re married a Thai Lady. (Who seems lovely)

And my little girl who is 8yrs old.

I have been back in the UK for a year and its not working out, mostly because I miss my Daughter.

I am wanting to move back. I have a TEFL 120hrs qualification and I am qualified to teach within the equestrian field.

I'm looking for Visa advice?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on moving back to Thailand to be closer to their child after living in the UK for a year. They have a TEFL qualification and are looking for information on the necessary visa requirements to work in Thailand, particularly in teaching or equestrian fields. Comments suggest options for obtaining a Non-Immigrant visa, necessary qualifications, and the importance of securing a job for work permits.

As
@Penelope ******
is now afraid of being kicked out this group as result of promoting illegal activities, I close this topic to protect her and all members.

if you like to stay member, do not promote illegal activities to live inside Thailand. if yo can not control, i close the topic before you make the mistakes. Have fun and stay legal.

i kept this topic open on request of Penelope, she did tell us:

Penelope Brown Robert Lagas Do you think I'm even considering illegal?!! Hence my post?

The next one with advice to start to work illegal will get a free ride out of this group. We love this country and that is the reason why we want to life our lives in this country. Please respect this country and their rules.

Here's a thought, you don't have a job here, so how about getting a 6 month METV <- multi-entry tourist visa from the thai consulate in your country BEFORE you come here. That will give you almost 9 months (in 60 day increments) to look for work and see if you can make a go of it here.

If you're unable to meet the requirements that you need to get a 6 month METV you could always get a 90 day single entry tourist visa. That would give you 60 days and you could extend it for 30 more days.

Those are the only options coming here without work.

Advice is given, all options are there. No reason to keep things open for people to suggest illegal ways to stay inside Thailand.

@Robert ******
why did you turn it off may I ask?

To work inside Thailand you need a Visa that allows you to work in combination with the Work Permit. Two things you need, most used visa's are the:

Non Immigrant B (Business visa)

Non Immigrant O based on being married to a Thai National

Non Immigrant O based on being a Volunteer

Non Immigrant M for Journalists

If you need to work inside Thailand an it does not matter if your work on line, off line, full time, part time, for customers inside or outside Thailand, for a company based on this planet or on the moon. it is

IF YOU are physically (in person) inside Thailand, you need documents as mentioned above.

You FIND a job, they provide you with the documentation to get a Non-B visa and work permit, then you could work.

IF you have a foreign child (as in NOT half thai) you could get a visa based on supporting them here which would require 500K baht in a bank account for 30 days before you apply for the yearly extension.

You need a batchelor degree to be employed at school at a minimum.

@Ed *****
