Helping a friend out, who is travelling with me to Thailand with his family.

His children have their documents for their education visa ready, enrolling in a primary and senior school. For the parents do they need to apply for a 'non immigrant visa' entitled - ''Visiting or staying with applicant's family resided in Thailand (more than 60 days)" ?

I know this used to come under 'O Visa' but the new e-visa website has changed the wording slightly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Parents accompanying children with educational visas should apply for a Non-Immigrant O visa, specifically for visiting or staying with family in Thailand. To qualify for a long-term visa, they must provide proof of funds, such as having 500,000 baht in a Thai bank account for at least 30 days.

yep that is the choice they pick to get 90 day Non-O visas based on raising foreign children here before they arrive.

They would need to get 500K baht in a thai bank account in their name only and it has to be in there for 30 days before they can apply for the yearly extension based on raising foreign children here.
