What to do if your TM30 was never filed when submitting your 90-day report in Thailand?

90 day reporting / TM30 update at Bangkok today. I had my supposed TM30 from landlord which was presented on my ED/Visa (USA passport) 2 month extension back in May without question. Today, I was notified that it was never filed (when I submitted 90 day documents). I smiled and said okay, no problem. A good attitude really helps! She escorted me from the "A" section (90 day report) to the "B" section (TM30) which was crazy with confusion but again, with patience and a positive attitude was helped through the process. New forms filled out, copies of passport, visa, copy of my lease and current stamp presented back to "B" folks with 800 baht fine and a friendly reminder to give to my landlord for reimbursment. 30 minutes later, receipt(s) received and a reminder to keep the TM30(receipt) in my passport along with the departure card and 90 day reporting. Back to Window "A", presented everything, big smile from IO a big thank you from me and I was done.

It is frustrating to say the least but really, a good attitude is one of the keys to success.

@J*
, strange you had to do a TM30 to do a 90 day report.

Did you move addresses between your last 90 day report and this one, or did you move from the last time you did your extension to this 90 day report?

no, did not move. My personal opinion based on what I saw was that they are using the 90 day check in to cross reference the TM30. As when I presented the same document for my ED extension in May it was fine.

You did not have a paper receipt for the original ?

I had a copy provided to me. When presented to IO, she checked it and it had not been properly sent to immigration and was not in their system. Now it has and that is what they told me to keep with my passport as proof.
