Just a bit of a heads up info! Been living in Bkk for 28 years! Had a non O on and off for years, but went to renew at Chaeng Wattana yesterday! Have heard about the TM 30 but never bothered with it until now! On applying for my non O extension, the first question they asked was, “Do you have a TM 30??” I pleaded ignorant and said I had never heard of it! The IO must have been in a good mood and started to process my extension, but in the meantime she sent me to register my TM 30! It was chaos! Even though I got my number 2 hours previous, there was 248 in front of me! Standing room only! No chance to sit! I went back to my IO and told her no chance to get my TM 30 today due to so many people! She then gave me a ticket number 130, and as they were up to 340, I managed to push in and explain that I made a mistake and waiting at wrong gate! She allowed me in, much to the disgust of 300 waiting people and after 15 mins, I had my TM 30, but not until I had paid my 800 baht fine! Once I had the TM 30 was able to go back to the IO and complete my extension of Non 0!! Moral of the story is get your TM 30 before applying for visas and expect queues!
