Update on registering tm30 at Samut Prakan immigration.

Further to my post from Sunday 9th June, I gave up on the online systems and decided to go in person.

I've just moved Samut Prakan so my first visit to the office there, I've previously lived in Samut Sakhon and have been less than impressed with the attitude in that particular office.

Anyway, this is the first tm30 I've filed (ive lived here for 5 years) so I was expecting a fine and I wasn't disappointed, only 800 baht though.

The IO mentioned that the next time I enter the country I need to come back to immigration and file another tm30, I didn't want to ask what happens if I stay at another address in Thailand for a period of time.

She also said that I can file the next tm30 myself and all I have to bring is my passport, copy of the visa and photo page and my previous tm30.

I was surprised by this as I thought that I needed rental agreement etc. but she said that I didn't.

The IO was very friendly all the way through and actually smiled. Probably my most pleasant experience I've had in an immigration office in Thailand.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user provided an update on their experience registering a TM30 at the Samut Prakan immigration office after moving there. They shared that, despite having lived in Thailand for 5 years, this was their first time filing a TM30 and they anticipated a fine, which turned out to be 800 baht. The immigration officer informed them that they must file another TM30 upon re-entering Thailand, and they can do this by bringing their passport, visa copy, and previous TM30, without needing a rental agreement. The user noted a positive interaction with a friendly immigration officer.
