What to do if my Thailand Pass expires while I'm in Thailand for 4 months?

After several days of stress, I already received the Thailand Pass, 2 days after having filled out the corresponding form, what can I tell you ... it's easy but you must use Firefox and Gmail, so it works fast, I uploaded all the documents as photographs and captured screen, now I have 2 more questions .. I see that the Pass is effective for three months from today but I will arrive in Thailand on December 1 and I will be there 4 months (with a departure after 2 months) what happens When it expires ? Second question I would like good advice to buy a ticket from bkk to a nearby country, to have another month of stay in Thailand .. which country should I leave and if I can return the same day .. thank you all for your support and tips, hope to see some of you on bkk.🙏❤🇹🇭❤

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received their Thailand Pass after a brief application process and has two main questions: what to do when the Thailand Pass expires during their 4-month stay and where to buy a ticket to a nearby country to extend their stay. The community discusses that the Thailand Pass is valid for one entry only and that users need to have the appropriate visa for their stay. They suggest options for onward travel tickets, such as renting a flight ticket, and caution that immigration regulations may be subject to change.

Hi everyone, I’m planning on doing 30 days then extending. What should I put on the estimated date of departure on Thailand pass? Still 30 because that is all my visa is good for?

@Jodie *****
it doesn't matter on thai pass just do it to match dates on your flight

It really works, I will not have problems with the air line and with migration in bkk? .. If so, I will rent one before leaving, that is, on November 28, but I arrived in bkk on December 1

the immigration don’t have enough time to check just have a paper copy or a snap shot on your phone and show them that...It’s a real ticket, a company that you rent it from has a program to cancel the ticket after 48hrs or so...No one will go in and check, if anything they just want to see that it “exist” they won’t care.They have bigger problems and they want TOURTIST’s MONEY

Due to CV-19

You'll need a new Thailand Pass each time you enter Thailand.

Thailand Pass is for your first entry into Thailand, you still need the correct visa for your stay. Because of travel restrictions due to Covid-19 you are really complicating things by planning to leave and then re-enter Thailand. You would need to do another Thailand Pass if applicable or enter under other quarantine rules that apply to that country.

And anything that applies now could change in the time period you are talking about.

Lots of countries are talking about opening up, you will have to see closer to when your visa expires.

Thailand pass is good for one entry only I think.

Anyway, I will have to buy an exit ticket so that I can enter Thailand without problem, well, I enter visa-free, and I will have one more month of extension in immigration in bkk ... that is to say, I have to show a ticket of departure at 2 months ..

I think your exit ticket must be within 30 days of arrival if you are arriving on Visa Exempt 30-day stamp. I think the airline you board to go to Thailand will ask to see an onward ticket within the 30 days of your visa exempt stay. I have heard of people not being allowed to board their flight without an onward ticket.

Before the Covid I have always done it like this ... at 60 days, because you have the right to an extension of 30 more days ...

@Salvador ******************
I think you will be safer to have an exit ticket booked within 30 days that you can cancel or change to a later date. That is what I plan to do when I fly. Some airlines are offering free flight date changes.

the are cracking down on this for some reason at moment. I think airlines more because they are liable to return you if immigration deny you entry.

Post covid travelling is a lot different

if I understand this .. if it is like that for 3star sure I think I will have to buy a departure ticket to return in one day ... I have heard of a ticket rented for 10 dollars ... I know that before leaving I must take a measure. to avoid any problem .. thank you always for the advice ..

At the same time things are closing down again in Europe. I think we are one 'covid wave' ahead from Thailand. Not that it matters for now. Lets enjoy while we can.
