What time is best to arrive at Changwattana Immigration for a tourist visa extension, and can Bumrungrad Business Center help?

Hi 🙂 Asking for my Japanese friend and her little son.

She needs to go to Immigration at Changwattana to extend the tourist visa on the next Friday.

Can anyone advise what time should be best to arrive there?

If she arrives at 9 or 10 am, is it too late or the line will be long?

I have also heard that Bumrungrad Business Center can handle this with additional fee, will it work for this case?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. Sorry if this question has already been asked.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The best time for your friend to arrive at Changwattana Immigration for a tourist visa extension is around 9:30 to 10:00 AM. This timing should allow her to complete the process by around 11:00 or 11:30 AM. Alternatively, she can use Bumrungrad Business Center, which charges an additional 900 baht plus the standard fee for processing the extension. To utilize this service, she would need to provide a photo of her passport’s data page and current visa stamp to get on their list.

There is no reason for her to wait until her current stamp is almost expiring because they ADD the 30 day extension on to the expiration date of the stamp she has now.

I'd say if she went to Chaengwattana at about 9:30-10:00 she'd be out of there by 11 or 11:30 at the latest.

Much appreciated Tod 🙂

@Ka***
, IF she contacts the hospital and sends the pictures I mentioned of her passport to them she only needs to show up on Saturday and they do the extension while she waits.

Ok I see so probably should go there as soon as she can right?

By the way, if she goes to Bumrungrad instead, there will be two trips needed, correct? Can she have someone else collect the passport on her behalf?

She can get ahold of Bumrungrad Hospital's Business Center here;

They charge 900 baht in addition to the 1900baht extension fee. She needs to send them a picture of her data page from her passport and her current stamp so she can get 'n the list to go on Saturday between 9 and 11.
