Chiang Mai, Thailand: Tomorrow April 8th I will go to the immigration office to get an extension of 30 days for my tourist visa (entered from Burma, expires on 4/10). How were the lines today, can anyone share their feedback from their experience ..what time do you recommend going in the morning? It appears to be the same type of stamp I received upon entry at Krabi on Jan. 18th?

Summary so far

A user is asking about the current wait times at the immigration office in Chiang Mai for a 30-day extension of a tourist visa, which expires on April 10th. They are looking for feedback on today's experience and recommendations on what time to arrive in the morning. Comments suggest that the lines could be longer than usual after a holiday and question the type of visa the user holds.

doubt you're entered from burma on a TOURIST visa :O I would bet you have a 30 day visa exempt entry, and are going to get a 30 day extension on that.

Post on a Chiang Mai group you'll get better answers.

Today's April 7th. Also, today was the first day after a holiday, so the immigration office would be much more busy then normal.
