Hi helpful people! How busy is Chaengwattana Immigration these days? I'm from the UK and I will arrive to extend my tourist visa at about 10am on Thursday. Do you think I'll be done before their lunch break?

sadly no one on this group has a crystal ball so we couldn't even GUESS how busy it'll be when you manage to show up there ๐
Here's a thought, how about making an appointment for your extension with the online appointment booking program and then just show up 15 minutes before it's due, walk right over to Section J (the section that does tourist visas) and show them you have an appointment ๐
That is one way to get around the zombie horde that could be waiting in the queue there
OR
Just tough it out, as a rule section J isn't all that busy BUT remember the covid extension program ends on Friday this week so I'm sure people will be flocking to the immigration office to squeeze one more covid extension in ๐
Thank you for your helpful reply ๐ I think I'll make an appointment and go next Tuesday instead. My visa expires on 15th April. From what I've read on this forum, I can extend my 60 tourist visa any time during the 60 days. Is this right?
in Bangkok you can get a new extension any time you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp.
Perhaps a good idea to let this covid extension program ending week pass by before you go, there is no reason to put yourself thru a long waiting time because of when your current stamp runs out
