Hanging at Immigration with Tod Daniels. He arrived at 05:30 so I didn't have to. Unbelievably there were already 31 place holders ahead of him!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A post describes an early morning experience at the Bangkok Immigration office, where the individual notes an unexpectedly long queue of 31 placeholders despite arriving at 5:30 AM. Comments from other users explore experiences with different times of day for visa extensions, with some suggesting that visiting in the afternoon may be a better option to avoid crowds. The discussion also touches on humorous anecdotes about attire and the waiting process at the immigration office.
Those 31 place holders ended up being about 70 people when they opened the doors. The agents put down one piece of paper then have a herd of people show up at 8:15-8:20.
At least I put down one piece of paper per person with their name on it, so people after me know how many people I'm waiting for.
I think those booklets with Jesus on it in the other picture are either Jehovah Witnesses or 7th day Adventists because they sure weren't dressed like mormons ;)
I was there on Thursday September 7th, left a place holder and went downstairs and had a little something to eat and came back up shortly before 08:00 and they had already opened the doors and let everyone in, haha. π
When I went there at 3pm last time I did not even have enough time to fill out the forms as my number was instantly called... did not expect that π .
No, that's to get in the queue outside the door so when they open the doors at 8:30 you get a LOW number for the section you're dealing with and can get out early.
