You have to be registered as a solopreneur in your own country, that’s you got rejected. As simple as that, no matter how much you earn and how much you have on your bank account

You can reapply through a different Thai embassy immediately there is no waiting period. Unfortunately, you will need to pay the visa fee again.

From what you have explained, your work is completely remote. In my opinion, this rejection may have resulted from a misunderstanding by the officer. They may not have fully understood how you operate your business as a crochet pattern designer and may have assumed that you physically make and sell crochet products.

For your new application, I would suggest preparing a very clear cover letter explaining:

• That you design and sell digital crochet patterns, not physical products

• Which software or programs you use to create the patterns

• How customers find, purchase, and download your digital patterns through Etsy

• How you manage your Etsy shop and communicate with customers entirely online

• That your work can be performed remotely from anywhere

You should also provide a bank statement showing the payments you receive from Etsy. This will help connect your Etsy shop directly to your actual source of income and demonstrate that the business is genuine and generating revenue.

The purpose is to make your entire working process very easy for the next officer to understand.

Hey, if they did some checks on you which I’m guessing they definitely did. If they saw your instagram page it says you are already based in Koh Tao and can tell you have already been living there they might be confused and think you are working there already without a proper permit 😬

So you sell just the patterns on Etsy ? Not the actual clothing ? I think the issue is that you’re hitting a grey area that looks like you could be doing business here . And crochet is a common handicraft item in Thailand . I’d recommend just do a muey thai coarse or cooking coarse . Hey I could use some help with setting up my girlfriends Etsy store . Are you missing out some parts of the story?

Did they ask for 6 months seasoned account? On average, how much was your monthly income? Did they ask for CV, or company details like vision/mission, how you typically perform work and interact with customers?

Maybe it’s because they suspect you’d do that from Thailand making it technically a gray zone in thai business as handicraft is reserved for thai nationals only. Apply again through soft power from Laos- get a proper course for 1 year in something else.
