What documentation can I provide for the DTV process if I haven't received payments yet?

Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate some advice from those who’ve been through the DTV process 🙏

I’ve been asked by the Thai Embassy (Jakarta) to provide the following:

>

*Employment contract or employment certificate or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad / remote worker / freelancer status, plus proof of monthly income***.

Here’s my situation:

* I recently started a new remote/freelance collaboration in January

* I do have an agreement / contract in English

* I have already issued my first invoices, which I can upload

* However, I have not yet received the payments, as the first payment cycle is still pending (normal timing)

So at the moment I can only show:

* Contract / agreement (already sent)

* Issued invoices (already sent)

---> But not yet incoming payments on my bank account

Has anyone been approved in a similar situation by:

* uploading contract + issued invoices (without received income yet)?

* or adding an explanation letter for the first payment timing?

Any real experiences with Jakarta (or other embassies) would be extremely helpful.

Thanks a lot in advance 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice about the DTV visa application process, specifically regarding the requirements for proof of income when applying as a freelancer or digital nomad. They have a contract and issued invoices but no received payments yet. The comments suggest the importance of demonstrating financial stability, emphasizing proven regular income and sufficient savings, while also questioning whether the user's timing for application was ideal.

The main point you have to prove is being financially able to support yourself for 5 years.

That’s why they aren’t only asking for 500k in the bank, but also proven regular incoming transactions into your bank account

You probably should have waited a little longer before applying. Why can’t you get your agreement updated to say you will work remotely? When will first payment come in? Try to wait for that, but still one payment is probably not enough
