TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can reapply for a DTV visa at another embassy after a rejection, as long as you are in the country where you are applying. There appears to be no time limit on reapplying, and you will need to prepare the necessary documents and pay the visa fees again. Some users have shared experiences where misunderstanding of documentation led to a rejection, but they were able to get the visa subsequently by applying elsewhere.

how did you get approved in Cambodia? Dont you have to be a resident of the country you're applying from? That's generally the rules for visas as I understand it

@Zain *****
don't have to be a resident, on application for proof of location I sent hotel booking confirmation and the Cambodian visa stamp in passport.

Ok, got it. So just to be clear. You went to Cambodia and applied online and selected Cambodia as the embassy you were applying to. How long did it take? I mean it could take up to 3 weeks for them to issue it. I've seen some saying it took 1-2 days, but you basically need to wait it out there lol

Yes but you MUST be in that country when you apply and stay there until approval.

As far as I know, there’s no restriction for reapplying DTV even at the same embassy. You just need to prepare required documents and pay Visa fees.

True but this is going to be a race to the bottom. Which Ambassador want to know his embassy is an easy touch or his staff are open to inducement?

I understand your point, but don’t take the wrong way, I don’t mean bribery or something like that. Surely, some consulate are strict and some aren’t.

Each place and location of issue has discretion as does Consular Official at reaction as does Immigration Officer at entry.
