TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for a visa in Vietnam, reporting a take-home income of over $6,000 for the last six months, but has been asked for two years' worth of tax returns. Other commenters suggest that submitting the requested tax returns is common, even if it seems unusual, and that it may be a new requirement for some applicants in Vietnam.

I didn’t even wait for this request, I put tax returns of last 3 years, everything that can help has to be provided before they even ask for it.

Strange as this visa doesn’t require an income test

Just send in your 2 years of tax returns. It’s to prove you are not laundering money.
