What Should We Do About Our Expired Non-B Visa and Work Permit During the Border Closure?

Hi guys, we have a concern about our Visas. My husband and I applied for work permit. We got 3 month Non-B. They expired on April, after borders were closed. So right now we cannot do anything, but just wait till July 31. In March we were told that our application to work permit is approved. We need to go to employment office ( or how it calls?) and sign the papers. And that very moment everything got closed and we didn’t have chance to do that. So, question is, will it give us preferences to get work permit and make new 1 year non b visa? And if Employment office is working? Is it giving blue books? I appreciate any information:)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The couple is seeking guidance regarding their expired 3-month Non-B visa and work permit amid the border closures. They were informed their work permit application was approved prior to the closures, but they could not finalize the process. A commenter advises that they will need to start over since their visa has expired, emphasizing the importance of discussing options with their employer regarding the new work permit.

the 90 day entry from your Non-B is expired and you are here on amnesty now, SO you will have to start everything all over again

You need to talk to your employer about getting the work permit from the Ministry of Labour.

No you don't get any preference or anything to make a new non-B or to apply for a new work permit

Talk to your employer about the Ministry of Labour office because they're open
