Dear advisors,

My tourist visa, 1st 30 days extension, it is expiring on the 27th of April. I will be start working on the 20th of April but the company it is still tramiting those documents and I don't know when that will be done, for sure it will take more than this month... I do have a letter from my embassy, company contract and/or rent contract. My question is:

I would like to know where I have to go, I don't want to wait until the end date to sort it out; is it still the same building or the new one the provided? Any further questions will be addressed to immigration directly but could someone send me address about the current place to go?

Thanks in advance for your help and support. Stay safe!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An individual is seeking advice on extending their tourist visa, which is set to expire while they await their work permit documents. They are concerned about the timeline and what actions to take prior to the visa expiration. The discussion highlights the legal necessity of having a valid Non-B visa and work permit before starting employment, and emphasizes the importance of working closely with the company's HR department to facilitate the necessary paperwork.

Benjamin Hays they are working on the documents; I have been dealing with HR and they take their time for everything... I cannot do more until they don't give me more documents...

Q: Does Immigration or Labour understand or wave does days meanwhile the documents are being tramit?

Also, there is anyway I could get an extension during that time until all the paperwork is done?

No, they don't. You can not work without a work permit, and that almost always require a Non-B visa.

No, You are covered by the visa amnesty until the 30th of April. I expect for the borders to either be re-open by then, or if Thailand's still closed, for another amnesty to be granted. I don't know what would happen by April 30th though.

You can not work without a valid work permit, and that requires having a valid Non-B visa.

You'd go to your company's human resource office and have them generate the documents you need.

I suppose you're asking what to do on April 27th to stay here longer. I believe you would be covered on the visa amnesty until April 30th. After April 30th, I don't know what would happen, so watch this group.

However, do not work without a work permit. That's illegal.

You have to wait for the Work Permit and the Non Immigrant B visa, which both are needed before you start working

No, there is no amnesty, rules of the Ministry of Labor for work permit and the rules of the Immigration Office about application Non Immigrant b visa or Extension of Stay did not change.
