This is visa application form for Multiple Entry. It asks for duration of proposed stay. What do I say there? 6 months? Or 60 days?

They also want a confirmation of hotel reservation, does it need to be for the same duration or can it be just for the first few nights?

Also, atm, I have a one way ticket to Bangkok as I want to make decisions of where and when to go on the fly. To enter Thailand, do I need a return flight? Or proof of onward travel? If so, how do I tackle this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
In applying for a Multiple Entry visa to Thailand, it is common to list the duration of stay as either 60 days or 6 months, with some suggesting to mention plans for land travel to neighboring countries after the initial stay. For hotel reservations, it suffices to book just the first few nights. As for travel to Thailand with a one-way ticket, while it's possible to enter without a return flight, providing proof of onward travel is typically recommended. Travelers have managed with single flights and proper financial documentation, such as bank statements.

I have applied multiple times by post to London and I always put 60 days. A single flight to Thailand has always been enough. For hotel I am unsure as I send a condo lease but I am sure you could book a room on Agoda or booking.com and pay later (I'E cancel the booking afterwards). The last 3 I have had I have had to send a bank statement of £5000.
