Hi everyone, I am in Thailand now. I hope to apply for the MT 5 year visa. Just want to ask a few questions if I may.

- I already have a rental lease for a private property. When I go out of the country to apply for the visa, let’s say December, should I submit the existing lease or change the start date to December and then submit it? Or maybe it’s better to obtain a proof from a hotel?

- Re occupation, is it better to say ‘unemployed’, so that they won’t ask for further evidence such as proof of income?

Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Thailand is seeking advice on applying for the MT 5-year visa. They are unsure whether to submit their existing rental lease or change the start date when they leave to apply for the visa. Additionally, they are contemplating how to represent their occupation status on the application, considering stating they are 'unemployed' to avoid providing proof of income. Comments from the community suggest that proof of funds will still be required and that it's best to consult with the Muay Thai school for specific lease requirements related to the visa.

You should be talking to who ever you're signing up with for the DTV and see what they say as far as how long the lease should be,

Most Muay Thai schools that offer DTV support have it spelled out as far as the requirements
