TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their visa extension ending on April 28 and the inability to perform a visa run. Responses indicate that there is a temporary visa amnesty in effect due to the pandemic, allowing all tourists to stay until April 30. Participants in the discussion suggest waiting for further updates on immigration policy and note that visa extensions may be granted automatically as the situation evolves. Overall, everyone is in a similar position and advised to remain patient.

28 or 30, doesn't matter, I was asking what people do know, not what they don't π

My understanding is that airport restrictions will be relaxed from May 1st giving more airlines access, although other initiatives will remain in place for now Visas will be extended for 14 days automatically to the middle of May. When tourists have made their bookings to return home they will attend the immigration office with their flight details and their visa will be extended to the date of their departure. Their idea behind it is that it will negate any need for people to all attend the office en masse, and will allow a stepped repatriation from Thailand
