Do visa holders in Thailand need to go to immigration office after their visa expires on March 26 due to the sanitary crisis?

So, to sum up, anyone with a visa(even the 30 days on arrival) expiring from 26 March onwards doesn't need to go to immigration office and will be allowed to stay in Thailand until 30 April or later according to the evolution of the sanitary crisis.

Therefore, overstay from 26 March onwards won't be claimed. Is that right?

That's nice, but I wonder what will happen when they will open the boarders again and thousands of people will try to get a visa run🤨

TLDR : Answer Summary
Due to the sanitary crisis, all visa holders in Thailand, including those with a 30-day visa on arrival, are allowed to remain in the country until April 30 without needing to report to the immigration office, despite their visas expiring from March 26 onwards. The discussion raises concerns about the potential influx of individuals seeking visa runs once borders reopen.

I went in yesterday to get the Cov 19 extentsion and was charged the usual 1900 baht and 500 baht overstay 1 day. Even though I had been in the day before and the guy said that due to so many people I could come back the next day. Go in and get your Cov 19 extension on the day its due. Everyone has a different story in there.

The idea is that if the country opens up the tourists will leave. If covid is still a problem they will likely extend the extensions another month and so on until the crisis is over. Tourists by definition are not long term stayers (at least they are not supposed to be). People on one year extensions just extend like normal and go when they normally go.
