TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Phuket is concerned about their visa exemption expiring during a lockdown set to start on the 13th and whether they should attempt to extend it before the expiration on the 18th. Responses from the community indicated that due to the COVID-19 situation, automatic extensions have been granted, with many confirming that their visas are extended until April 30th and advising to stay home during the lockdown. Additional comments touched on future plans for flights and further visa considerations.

Stay at residence. The reason for the waiver is to prevent visits. Trust it and use it but stay aware of change.

Going to be busy on the 30th!

Apparently there will be a 2-week extension during which time flights will commence operation. Once you have your flight booked you attend immigration and they will allow extension up to the date of the flight. This is for exempt/tourist visa and VOAs
