TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion addresses concerns about visa stamps expiring in April amid the automatic extension for those legally in Thailand as of March 26. Users confirm that if you are present in Thailand and your visa stamp is expiring on April 14, you should not worry about overstaying until April 30, as extensions are provided. It's advised to read updates from the immigration office and check specific visa types to ensure compliance.

Chiang Mai office clarified that they apply it to any kind of visa or extension of stay. All automatically extended to 30 April, without charge and without the need to visit.
Yes; doesn't matter if it's your first, second or final extension. It will all get auto-extended to April 30 first, and then later we'll hear what's up after that.
The stamp up top of the OP is April 14 so he gets until April 30. The other guy is good until May 2. I wasn't replying to the guy with the May 2 stamp.
See how that theory works when you question the immigration officer who is about to stamp.your passport on wether he knows how to do his job properly. Let me know if that works well 😉 take a copy of legislation with you
David Broadfoot. I went to CW immigration today to ask in person. New waiver does NOT apply to long term visa /extension holders who are due for renewal. They need to get the 30 day covid extension with a letter from their embassy.
What kind of visa do you have? For tourist visa and visa-exemption you don't need to do anything. If it's a non-immigrant visa (extension based on marriage, employment, education, retirement, etc.) then I would call and ask.
