What should I do if my Non-O visa extension is rejected due to lack of condo title?

I went to Chaeng Watthana to extend my Non-O for retirement last week, but was rejected because I didn't have a copy of the title/deed to the condo I'm renting.

The owner of the condo believes that a registered TM-30 is sufficient and does not want to provide a copy of the title / deed.

I'm at a loss for what to do.

Any insight or suggestions?

Thanks.

When I was a young teen I was contacted (anonymously of course) by the FBI who were recruiting youngsters to work as temporary secret agents. Unfortunately, I had to turn down their kind offer because I was already comitted to my newspaper delivery round.

So you explain; " I have the DTV and know that this is technically not allowed."

Grow up and make choices in life, but play stupid games win stupid prices

FAFO.

Enjoy.

I also explain, "I know it's a risk and safer not to do at all, but would like to hear some realistic input about just how much of a risk it might or might not be." You provided none of that, so you've just wasted both of our time. "Play stupid games win stupid prizes [sic]" is the kind of phrase people who are impressed by bumper stickers think is cool and accurate. Not the source of input I need or want. Enjoy.

Anonymous participant Yeah, it is amazing what some people ask and why they keep replying to an answer which the not like to read.

If you can not handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

If you can not handle answers, do not ask questions.

Live can be easy, accept it as it is.

Well the film company needs a permit. Do you feel lucky?

Is 2 minutes of fame worth possibly getting caught, detained, arrested, maybe blacklisted and have your DTV cancelled and having to buy a ticket home?

Again...Do you feel lucky?

I couldn't be less interested in any "fame" that would come with it, which realistically would be none -- I'm interested in the money. Given the long term risks, the amount of money I'd make is dwarfed by how much I'd lose on the off chance I were to be caught, so I turned it down. My interest was less in luck and more in realistic probability. Regardless, while it missed the mark, I appreciate your input and your time.

Really, nobody cares, there is just a lot of scare mongering. Thailand is still full of illlegal English teachers, and other people working on dtv.

If it’s a foreign company it’d probably be fine. You’d be working remotely for them from your living room or office.

But if it’s Thai owned and for a Thai audience, I wouldn’t risk it.

Doing a bit of acting in Thailand is fine? Not really. If abroad no issue. Online in Thailand very grey area.

A bit of minor TV work on a Web comedy show is not worth losing the DTV and a several year ban from Thailand in my view. The production company knows you are on the DTV?

yes, but I don't think they know/care much about the visa and its implications. I agree with your point though, and decided to turn it down. Thanks for the input.
