I arrived (from US) on a 90 day Non-O and I might not be able to get my kor ror 22 in time to apply for one year extension. What are my options?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has arrived in Thailand on a 90-day Non-O visa and is concerned about obtaining the Kor Ror 22 certificate in time for a one-year extension. The community member explains that the user can fill out a blank affidavit regarding the marriage, notarize it at the American Citizen Services, then translate and certify the documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, allowing for the local registration of their marriage and the acquisition of the Kor Ror 22 before the visa expires.

Okay, I think we need to clarify a bit what is actually happening.

The O/P just got here on their Non-O visa (Feb 16th) they are stamped in until the middle of May. They were under the false impression they needed to send their US marriage certificate back to the USA to get 'certified' because the US embassy here will not certify a US marriage certificate because marriages in the US are done at the state level NOT at the federal government level.

BUT

The solution to that is to fill out a blank affidavit stating you and your thai wife were married on xxx date in yyy state and it's a real and genuine certificate and get THAT notarized by ACS (American Citizen Services)

Then you take that, the marriage certificate, your data page of your passport to a translation service, they translate it into thai and get it certified at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office and FINALLY you and your wife can go to the local Amphur (City Hall) and register the marriage of a thai who got married abroad and get the Kor Ror 22 certificate ๐Ÿ™‚

That is how it's done and the O/P has PLENTY of time to pull this off because their appointment with ACS is March 8th and they have a stamp saying they can say until May.
