OK so I managed to totally $#%$ up and have missed my 90 day check date in by a mile. Should have been done in OCT!! Yeah i screwed up bigtime.

I'm Non-O Thai Wife, from USA. My extension of stay filing is due Jan. 13. Should I just say screw it and file my 90 day then and pay the 2K fine, or go ASAP and still pay the 2K fine?

Also just to confirm, Temporary VISA Extension Center at Muang Thong Thani is where I need to go just for the 90 Day ONLY in any case?

Also I want to thank Benjamin Hays for his timely announcement post today re: the open offices.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster missed their 90-day check-in for their Non-O visa, which was due in October, and is seeking advice on whether to file their 90-day check-in along with their visa extension due on January 13, thus incurring a 2,000 Baht fine. Responses suggest that they should file the 90-day check-in at the Temporary Visa Extension Center in Muang Thong Thani before proceeding to their annual extension at Chaengwattana. It is emphasized that paying the fine is generally acceptable, regardless of being late.

Just pay the fine, 2000 Baht and nobody cares. I've skipped a few of them over the years.

One down side IS, you have to FIRST go do your 90 day report at MTT then you can go to Chaengwattana and do your yearly extension based on marriage. They won't let you file for an extension without the receipt you did your previous 90 day report

I'd say slog out to Muang Thong Thani file the 90 day report (take the 200baht fine) get it out of the way well BEFORE you're going to Chaengwattana to get your year extension.

Those two places are not that far apart but it is troublesome to go to MTT and back from Chaengwattana

Both places (MTT and C/W) open at the same time. and you need to have a current 90 day report before you can apply for your new yearly extension. Even if you're at MTT with an 8:30 appointment for your 90 day reporting, SLOGGING over to Chaengwattana at 8:45 AM in rush hour traffic thru construction is gonna be slow.

Personally I'd go file the 90 day report the week before and then the day of your extension just go to C/W and get in the queue..

Thanks for that tip
@Tod ********
. :) You're advising NOT to do both on the same day due to their logistics, or just be sure to do the 90 Day first before the ext of stay fun?

Go when you do the extension. Does not matter if late...still 2,000 Thb fine.

David Broadfoot while that me true, never have I heard of such actions taken by Thai Immigration.

That was my thought. My only concern would be my "illegal status" while out and about until Jan 13.

@Eric *******
you don’t have an “illegal status”. You’re stamped until Jan 13. You just didn’t do a report. No biggie.
