Good morning guys Sorry for the repost, maybe someone now have new info

My situation:

Italian passport

Non-ED visa valid until 10 April (last extension already)

My plan was to apply for Non-B in Malaysia before expiration date but now is impossible.

My Embassy can grant me the letter for the emergency extension but I heard that if you have a Non-ED visa the Immigration office may be cancel it and give you a 30 days of a "not-clear-kind" of visa, maybe an exempt stamp

Now this rumor come to me a couple of time but seems to be impossible to verify accurately.

I ask that because maybe with this 30 days I could apply for a Non-B if it is like a exempt visa...

Someone have idea what could happen in that case and a possible solution to apply for a Non-B in my case?

The company is mine and I'm the director. No one seems to be have an answer for that

Anyway good luck everyone

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Italian passport holder is facing challenges with their Non-ED visa expiring and is looking to apply for a Non-B visa. They are considering an emergency extension from their embassy but are concerned that the Thai Immigration Office might cancel their Non-ED visa and issue a temporary 30-day exemption instead. There are rumors about this situation but no clear information, prompting the individual to seek advice on possible outcomes and solutions for applying for a Non-B visa under these circumstances.

AFAIK, that 30 day "unable to travel due to covid-19" is NOT like a visa exempt entry :( SO you're out as far as using it to apply for a Non-B.

The ONLY place that will know 100% would be your immigration office (and you're going to need to go there for the 30 day extension anyway soon).

Check with them

Good Luck Valerio.

Also...

It might be a good time to prepare a plan B to return to your home country.

Did you ask your Thai partners to contact the Ministry of Labor and the Immigration Office to see what the options are?
