Please forgive me for asking a dumb question. My date for 90 day reporting occurs while I am visiting family in the US. I understand that the 90 day clock normally restarts upon my return. However, my return is just one day after the reporting date - well within the margin of error period. Should I just go to immigration (Jomtien) ASAP after landing, or wait 90 days? (For information, this is my second 90 day period and thus I have never reported on-line). Thanks in advance for your patient replies.

A 90-day report is for reporting when you have spent 90 consecutive days in Thailand. The reason it restarts when you return to Thailand is because you are starting a new stretch of 90 days inside of Thailand. If you leave Thailand, there is nothing to report, because you have not spent 90 consecutive days in Thailand.
