Anyone having problems submitting online request for appointment at the US Embassy in Bangkok? I have tried several times to complete request and when I do the final submission, nothing happens as it just takes back to start page.. Not a visa request but a notarial request. I am a American citizen recently married to a Thai citizen.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing issues with the online submission for a notarial appointment at the US Embassy in Bangkok, finding that the submission redirects them to the start page. Other users suggest checking for cancellations as appointments fill quickly and clearing browser cache may help resolve technical issues. Alternatives include visiting the consulate in Chiang Mai and considering additional notarization services, such as for a passport.

You may have to move up to next month, or the following

Maybe clear cache or cookies or something similar with browser. I set up same with both BKK and CM in the last week with no problems.

Once you get an appointment, suggest to leave wife at au bon pain close by, they won't let her in and she can keep your backpack that they also won't let in, the service there has gotten crazy

May as well get your passport notarized too. It came in handy when my local Amphur wanted it for when I got married.

you are welcome. Of course the Embassy will zap you 50 bucks for each item notarized. Damn thieves lmao.

There is also a consulate in Chiang Mai if it is not too far for you.

Would stick to Bkk.

Consul in Chiangmai is unreachable, or indifferent.

Not new, for 2 decades, can't get an answer to phones texts, even went in person. No Americans at entrance, no appt, no see.

When insist on seeing, you get security

Try to reach at anytime, what do people do in emergency.

Staff on 3 hr lunches, try to interrupt on return to back...no comment, send email...bye

I hate bureaucrats. Some times they make everything so difficult. I been to the Embassy in Bangkok to get things notarized wasn't bad. There was like 2 other people there. Quick service.

Bkk is different, the personnel aren't sure who's important, or not.

So a bit of service and civility exists .

CM just US expats.

Like the DMV in any US city.
