I tried to use my LTR to take the “short line”. But the officers said to go to the normal line. Was I supposed to use the “Thai/Diplomat” line? I only saw that and the foreign passport line. And if I was supposed to use that line what do you suggest I say so I don’t get turned away in the future?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user attempted to use their Long-Term Resident (LTR) visa to access the fast track line at immigration but was directed to the normal line. They are seeking clarification on whether they should use the Thai/Diplomat line instead, and how to avoid being turned away in future instances. Responses suggest that it's important to locate the designated fast track entrance and follow the signs, as well as verifying the correct visa stamp validity.

no problem. Since we can’t take pictures in that area I can only go by descriptions. Honestly I am a bit jealous of the elite visa simply because they take you to immigration fast track. With LTR you’re on your own…so today I waited in line for almost an hour at immigration.
I think once we know, we know in each location. And in all fairness it cost them an extra 950k baht to have an escort. And I actually think that’s only in Bangkok.
yes. Did it in bkk in person. Interestingly the immigration officer who stamped me in was very careful and took longer than usual. I think early days still. I’m learning too.
I did this last month. I had to walk a ways past the normal immigration entrance to another entrance. I kept asking for the fast track line. Eventually I got there and it was indeed fast.
luckily my luggage was one of the first on the turnstile. From plane to taxi it was maybe 20 minutes and that is because of the distance from the plane to luggage.
